a ps8 icon tutorial!

1. Your base.


2. Duplicate it, set it to screen. Set the opacity to 70% (you can change this, preferably higher).


3. New layer, fill it with #114168. Set to exclusion, opacity to 70%.


4. New layer, fill with #8BBEE1. Set to soft light.


5. Create a new layer. Now press CTRL+Shift+Alt+E (you've just pasted a merged layer). Set this to Color Burn.


Done! Yep, it's that easy.(</advertising>) Now you can go adjust those blue colors (slightly!), change opacities of the previous layers, etc. These were made using the same method:

anyways, i love this tut. but i cant make ur effect if i use a pic with a light background. wtever, still great! going to try with dark background pictures!
